Excellent PTFE Washer/Gaskets Suit For Sealing

All our PTFE washers and gaskets are produced from 100% pure PTFE resin as the base material, with optional modified filled grades available for special working conditions. Pure PTFE material brings stable physical and chemical properties, which is the core reason why flat PTFE gaskets have become conventional sealing parts in modern industry. The material features low surface friction coefficient, stable low and high temperature resistance, and excellent chemical inertness, adapting to most conventional industrial working environments without auxiliary protection.

In terms of temperature adaptability, our PTFE washers and gaskets can work stably in the temperature range from -196°C to +260°C. The material will not undergo obvious softening, deformation or brittle cracking under long-term constant temperature and intermittent temperature fluctuation. This temperature resistance advantage makes these gaskets suitable for low-temperature refrigeration equipment and high-temperature steam piping systems, replacing traditional rubber gaskets that are prone to aging and failure under extreme temperature conditions.

Chemical stability is another basic attribute of PTFE sealing washers. The products are resistant to most inorganic acids, alkalis, salt solutions, organic solvents, hydraulic oils and petroleum-based media. They will not corrode, swell or dissolve in long-term contact with common industrial fluids. It is necessary to clarify that PTFE materials are not universal and cannot adapt to strong oxidizing media, molten alkali metals and special fluorine-containing corrosive environments. Users need to verify medium compatibility according to actual working conditions before use.

Our factory adopts two mature production processes for PTFE washers and gaskets: die cutting for standard thin-gauge flat gaskets and CNC precision machining for thick-size, special-shaped and non-standard customized products. Standard-sized products are produced in batches with stable dimensional consistency and flat surface without burrs, ensuring uniform stress during assembly. For custom products, we process strictly in accordance with customer drawings, controlling key parameters such as outer diameter, inner diameter, thickness and flatness to meet different equipment assembly tolerances.

In actual use, PTFE washers and gaskets are mainly used for static sealing, including flange connection sealing, bolt fastening buffer sealing, pipeline interface sealing and equipment end face sealing. Due to the low elasticity characteristics of PTFE itself, these products are more suitable for fixed sealing scenes with stable pressure. They are not recommended for dynamic sealing environments with frequent friction and large displacement, so as to avoid excessive wear and shortened service life.

Compared with rubber, copper and nylon gaskets, PTFE sealing parts have obvious advantages of aging resistance and insulation performance. They will not harden, crack or deform after long-term use, and have good electrical insulation, which can meet the sealing and insulation dual requirements of electrical and electronic equipment. Meanwhile, the material is non-toxic and odorless, and can be used in food machinery and pharmaceutical equipment supporting scenarios that require hygienic standards.
