Low Co-Efficient Rubber Sealing Customized PTFE SealingGaskets

The low-friction customized PTFE sealing gaskets adopt a composite structural design, which is the core difference from ordinary sealing gaskets. The rubber base layer provides reliable elasticity and compression resilience, which can compensate for assembly gaps, equipment vibration and minor flange misalignment during operation. The surface bonded PTFE layer serves as the contact sealing surface, forming a smooth protective layer. This structural design effectively reduces the overall friction coefficient of the gasket, avoiding the problems of large friction, easy adhesion and poor sliding performance of pure rubber seals during installation and equipment operation.

In terms of material matching, we support diversified customized configurations according to customer working conditions. The rubber substrate can be selected from conventional industrial grades including NBR, EPDM and FKM, adapting to different temperature ranges and medium environments. The surface PTFE layer uses high-purity polytetrafluoroethylene material with stable low-friction characteristics. The two materials are compounded through mature bonding and pressing processes to ensure tight lamination, no delamination or peeling under normal compression and operating conditions, and stable overall structural integrity.

The most prominent practical feature of this series of gaskets is the low friction coefficient brought by the PTFE surface. Compared with full-rubber gaskets, it greatly reduces sliding friction during installation, shaft movement and equipment debugging. It can effectively prevent gasket wear, surface scratching and sealing failure caused by friction. Meanwhile, the PTFE layer retains excellent chemical inertness, resisting most acids, alkalis, organic solvents, hydraulic oils and industrial lubricants. It can isolate the rubber substrate from corrosive media and extend the service life of the sealing assembly.

In terms of temperature adaptability, the product performance depends on the rubber substrate grade. Conventional NBR and EPDM composite gaskets are suitable for medium and conventional temperature working conditions, while FKM composite PTFE gaskets can cope with higher temperature environments. The PTFE surface layer can stably maintain low-friction and anti-corrosion properties within -196°C to +260°C, avoiding aging, hardening and failure caused by long-term temperature changes, which makes up for the defect that single rubber seals are prone to aging under extreme temperature and corrosive conditions.
