The latest data shows that in the first 11 months of 2024, Ivory Coast's rubber exports totaled 1.351 million tons, down 5.4% from 1.427 million tons in the same period of 2023.
Looking at the November data alone, exports fell 1.4% year-on-year and 5% month-on-month.
Ivory Coast is an important natural rubber producer in Africa. In recent years, Ivory Coast's rubber exports have increased year by year, as farmers have switched their crops from cocoa to rubber due to stable income.
