M‑111 retains full‑spectrum chemical inertness of PTFE, resisting most strong acids, alkalis and organic solvents. It works continuously across‑200 °C to +260 °C and maintains reliable electrical insulation performance. The key upgrade lies in greatly improved creep resistance, the main weakness of unmodified PTFE. Under sustained mechanical load, M‑111 shows much lower permanent deformation, so machined seals, gaskets and sliding parts hold dimensional stability over long‑term service instead of slowly compressing and losing sealing pre‑load. Its denser internal structure also reduces gas and liquid permeation compared to conventional PTFE blanks.
From our CNC workshop perspective, machinability is where M‑111 delivers tangible production benefits. Standard PTFE tends to tear, form stringy burrs and spring away from cutting tools, raising manual deburring work and scrap rate. M‑111 machines cleaner: edges stay sharper, burr formation drops significantly, and we can achieve smoother surface finishes without extra post‑processing work It still cannot be injection‑melt processed; all semi‑finished stock must go through compression moulding and sintering before CNC cutting, which is an important point for project planningDaikin Shrinkage must be fully considered at the billet forming stage to hit final drawing tolerances.
We regularly machine M‑111 into custom sealing rings, valve seat inserts, precision gaskets, insulating spacers and low‑friction slide components. These finished parts serve chemical processing equipment, semiconductor tooling, general industrial fluid systems and electrical insulation assemblies. It suits applications expecting consistent performance under static or moderate dynamic pressure. We would not recommend M‑111 for heavy‑load high‑speed friction conditions; for such cases filled‑grade PTFE remains the better option.
