Eugene Tan, assistant economist at Moody's Analytics, said that the Thai rubber industry may have been hit hard by recent floods in the region.
Thailand is the world's largest producer and exporter of natural rubber, and the rubber industry is an important contributor to the country's economy.
Most of the plantations are concentrated in the southern provinces, which are the most severely affected areas in this flood.
Tan pointed out that the moderate floods in October have led to a decrease in rubber product production.
