This is the season when the spring sunshine is bright and the plants are turning green, and it is also a good time for people to go on spring outings (ancient times called spring outings). Therefore, the ancients had the custom of going on Qingming outings and carrying out a series of sports activities.
Qingming is also a very important solar term. As soon as Qingming arrives, the temperature rises, making it a great season for spring plowing and planting,
Later on, due to the close proximity of Qingming and Cold Food, which were folk fire prohibition days, Cold Food gradually merged with Qingming, and Cold Food became a custom during Qingming. On Qingming Day, there were no fireworks and only cold food was eaten.
