Parts maintain stable geometry through repeated thermal cycles. Heat deflection temperature sits above 200℃, and selected grades achieve UL94 V-0 flame rating. Low thermal expansion keeps reflector alignment consistent over long operating hours. The surface can be finished to accept vacuum aluminum plating, a common requirement for lamp reflector sections. This characteristic makes the housing suitable for industrial lamp fixtures, tunnel lights, and vehicle auxiliary lamp assemblies.
Molding processes can be either compression or injection molding, chosen according to part complexity and production volume. Cavities are machined to match the curved profiles, cutouts, and mounting bosses from customer drawings. Wall thickness can be adjusted to balance mechanical rigidity and material flow during curing. Color pigment is blended into the BMC compound before molding, removing extra coating steps in many cases.
