The plastic injection molding process

Leave a message

The plastic injection molding process includes several steps such as feeding, plasticization, injection molding, pressure holding cooling, and demolding.

The complete injection molding process includes several steps such as feeding, plasticization, injection molding, pressure holding cooling, and demolding, but in essence, it can be seen as only two processes: plasticization and flow/cooling. Plasticization is the entire process in which plastic is heated and sheared by a screw in a barrel to reach a flowing state and possess good plasticity.

Flow and cooling refer to the screw moving forward under the action of the oil cylinder, injecting molten adhesive with fluidity and uniform temperature into the mold, and then filling it through the mold cavity.

The melt is cooled and solidified under controlled conditions (such as applying pressure) until the plastic part is released from the mold.
