EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer): This is our go-to material for coolant and water applications. EPDM offers exceptional resistance to heat, ozone, and weathering. It is highly compatible with ethylene and propylene glycol-based coolants, making it the industry standard for automotive radiator hoses, heater hoses, and heavy-duty truck cooling systems.
Silicone Rubber: When extreme temperatures are a factor, we turn to silicone. Capable of withstanding continuous operating temperatures up to 260°C (and short peaks of 300°C), silicone hoses are essential for turbocharger connections, intercooler pipes, and high-performance engine bays. Silicone also provides excellent flexibility and electrical insulation properties.
The Manufacturing Process
Our production relies on precision compression molding and transfer molding techniques. Once the compound is ready, it is placed into custom-machined steel molds and subjected to high heat and pressure in our vacuum pressing machines. This vulcanization process creates a strong, three-dimensional cross-linked structure. For complex geometries or reinforced hoses, we integrate polyester or textile reinforcement layers during the molding process to handle higher working pressures (up to 1.6 MPa) and prevent hose expansion under load.
Quality Control and Tolerances
In molded rubber, consistency is everything. We maintain strict dimensional tolerances, typically holding ±0.5mm on critical inner and outer diameters. Our quality control is integrated directly into the production line. Every batch undergoes rigorous testing, including tensile strength, elongation at break, compression set, and aging tests in our in-house laboratory.
Customization and Finishing
Beyond the basic tube, we provide complete molded solutions. This includes integrating flanges, mounting brackets, or stepped diameters directly into the hose during the molding process, eliminating the need for separate adapters. We also offer custom color matching, surface texturing, and laser printing or embossing for part numbers and branding.
