You need a material that can withstand aggressive chemical attack, yet you also need a component that offers sufficient elasticity to maintain a seal under fluctuating pressure and temperature. Pure PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) offers unparalleled chemical resistance and thermal stability but suffers from "cold flow" or creep under load, and it lacks the elastic memory of rubber. Conversely, standard elastomers offer excellent recovery but often fail when exposed to harsh solvents or extreme heat.

We utilize a specialized composite structure that integrates a 100% pure PTFE sealing face with a robust EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber backbone.
