Where natural rubber might melt or degrade, and where EPDM might harden, our silicone sheets maintain their mechanical integrity. We formulate our compounds to operate continuously in environments ranging from -60°C to +230°C, with peak resistance capable of handling intermittent exposure up to 260°C without losing tensile strength or elongation properties.

Our manufacturing process begins with the compounding stage. We employ high-torque internal mixers and two-roll mills to ensure the homogenous distribution of reinforcing fillers, such as precipitated silica, and curing agents. For our High Purity sheets, often destined for food processing or medical device applications, we utilize peroxide-cured or platinum-cured systems that leave no toxic byproducts. This ensures the final sheet meets the necessary biocompatibility and non-toxicity standards. The result is a material that is odorless, tasteless, and physiologically inert, making it safe for direct contact with consumables.

The production of the sheet itself is achieved through precision calendering. We feed our compounded silicone blocks into heated calendar rolls that press the material into continuous sheets of uniform thickness. This method is superior to simple compression molding for sheet goods because it ensures a consistent density and grain structure across the entire length of the roll. Whether you require a thin 0.5mm film for gasketing or a robust 10mm pad for vibration damping, our calendering lines maintain tight tolerances on thickness and width. A softer 40-durometer sheet provides excellent conformability, allowing it to seal uneven or rough flange surfaces with minimal compression force. Conversely, our harder 70 or 80-durometer sheets offer greater structural rigidity, making them suitable for applications requiring abrasion resistance and load-bearing capabilities.

We also engineer our sheets for specific environmental resistances. While silicone is naturally resistant to ozone and UV radiation-making it ideal for outdoor applications without the need for additional anti-degradants-we can further enhance formulations for resistance to oils, fuels, and solvents. For applications involving electrical components, our sheets exhibit high volume resistivity and excellent arc resistance, serving as reliable barriers in transformers, switchgears, and cable assemblies.
