We produce the TB Element Bush using high-grade Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR), selected for its balanced mechanical properties and resistance to industrial oils, greases, and moderate temperature fluctuations. The rubber is compression-molded in dedicated tooling to ensure consistent geometry, flash-free parting lines, and accurate lobe profiles. Each production batch undergoes hardness verification (Shore A) and visual inspection to confirm compliance with internal specifications. The molding process is calibrated to avoid over-curing or under-curing, both of which can compromise the elastic recovery and fatigue life of the part.
In service, the TB Element Bush sits within the jaws of the Normex coupling hubs. Under load, the elastomer compresses and shears slightly, allowing the coupling to accommodate minor angular, parallel, and axial misalignments between connected shafts. This elastic deformation also absorbs torsional shocks and dampens vibration, reducing the transmission of dynamic forces to bearings and gearboxes. The element is a wear component; its service life depends on operating torque, speed, misalignment magnitude, and environmental conditions.
The TB Element Bush is a drop-in replacement part. During installation, ensure that the coupling hubs are clean, free of burrs, and correctly aligned within the specified tolerances.
