ABOUT O ring oil seal
Nitrile rubber (NBR) is the general term for Acrylonitrile Butadiene Copolymer. It is the most commonly used elastomeric material for molded and extruded products, it has excellent resistance to petroleum-based oils and fuels, silicone greases, hydraulic fluids, water and alcohols, also offers a good balance of working properties: low compression set, high tensile strength, and high abrasion resistance, thus it is widely used in auto industry, aerospace and gas applications. But NBR has poor resistance to weathering, sunlight and ozone so it is best used in enclosed environments where parts are not exposed to the elements.
