To achieve this, we carefully control the preform weight, mold temperature, and cure time.

The demolding process requires specialized ejection mechanisms to prevent damage to the internal threads. For high-volume production, we utilize automated demolding systems with thread-unscrambling mechanisms to ensure consistent part quality and reduce manual handling defects. Post-mold deflashing is performed using cryogenic or mechanical methods to remove parting line flash without compromising the thread tolerance.

Quality Assurance and Dimensional Control

Threaded silicone bumpers require stringent quality control, as thread tolerance directly impacts assembly functionality. We utilize thread plug gauges and optical measurement systems to verify that major diameter, pitch diameter, and thread depth conform to specified tolerances.

Physical property testing is conducted on batch samples to confirm durometer, compression set, and tear strength. We also perform functional torque testing to determine the maximum installation torque before thread stripping occurs, providing clients with critical assembly guidelines.

Visual inspection is performed under controlled lighting to identify surface defects, flash, or incomplete molding. Traceability is maintained for every production lot, linking finished goods to specific raw material batches, mold cavities, and process parameters.
