We do not produce generic, one-size-fits-all suspension components. Every control arm bushing we manufacture begins with a detailed review of the client's technical specifications. Whether the requirement is for a standard hydraulic bushing, a solid rubber mount, or a complex multi-piece assembly, our engineering team works directly from 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, or physical samples.

Customization in this sector often involves specific geometric tolerances. The inner metal sleeve must maintain precise concentricity with the outer housing to ensure proper alignment during the pressing process. We utilize CNC machining for our metal inserts and housings, ensuring that surface finishes and dimensional tolerances are held to within ±0.05mm. This precision is necessary to prevent premature failure caused by misalignment or uneven stress distribution within the rubber matrix.

The performance of a suspension bushing is dictated by its elastomer compound. We maintain an in-house compounding laboratory where we formulate rubber mixes based on the specific application environment. For control arm applications, we typically work with three primary elastomers:

Natural Rubber (NR): Selected for applications requiring high dynamic fatigue resistance and excellent load-bearing capacity. NR is often the standard for heavy-duty or performance suspension setups due to its superior tear strength.

EPDM: Utilized when the primary concern is resistance to ozone, UV exposure, and brake fluids. EPDM compounds offer stable performance across a wide temperature range and are frequently specified for long-life OEM applications.

Polyurethane (PU): Manufactured for clients requiring increased stiffness and reduced deflection. While PU changes the ride characteristic, it offers significant durability in high-stress environments. We can adjust the Shore hardness from 70A to 95A depending on the desired balance between comfort and handling.

Each batch of compound undergoes rheometer testing and tensile testing before molding to verify that the cure characteristics and physical properties meet the internal specification sheet.

Our production floor utilizes compression and transfer molding presses equipped with automated temperature and pressure controls. The vulcanization process is strictly monitored; time, temperature, and pressure are recorded for every cycle to ensure consistent cross-linking of the polymer chains. Inconsistent curing can lead to voids, weak bonds, or premature compression set, all of which are unacceptable in suspension applications.

A critical aspect of our manufacturing process is the metal-to-rubber bonding. We employ a multi-step surface preparation protocol for all metal inserts, including degreasing, abrasive blasting, and primer/adhesive application. Post-molding, we conduct pull-out tests on sample parts from each production run to verify that the bond strength exceeds the minimum requirement, typically targeting cohesive failure within the rubber rather than adhesive failure at the interface.

Dimensional verification is performed using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and custom go/no-go fixtures. We inspect critical features such as inner diameter, outer diameter, overall height, and the position of any mounting tabs or flanges. Visual inspection is also conducted under controlled lighting to identify surface defects, flash, or porosity that could compromise the part's integrity.
